Kansas Teacher of the Year Award

Kansas Teacher of the Year LogoThe Kansas Teacher of the Year Award recognizes and utilizes representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state.  Its mission is to build and utilize a network of exemplary teachers who are leaders in the improvement of schools, student performance, and the teaching profession.

This brochure provides general information about the Kansas Teacher of the Year program, including the mission of the program, candidate qualifications, the selection process, recognition and awards available at both the regional and state levels, opportunities for teachers nominated for this award, and the time line for the program.
