Intel Teach Thinking with Technology Courses

The Intel Teach Thinking with Technology Course builds on effective technology integration skills.  Teachers use free online tools to support the development and assessment of their students' higher-order thinking skills.

Through Thinking with Technology, teachers learn instructional strategies for addressing and assessing higher-order thinking skills, using technology to support deeper understanding of core content.  The goal is for teachers to leave the course with a standards-based unit plan, support materials, and implementation strategies to improve and assess students' higher-order thinking with the use of free online tools.

Teachers use the following free online tools to sharpen students' higher-order thinking skills: Courses are offered one of two ways:
  1. for Master Trainers (MTs) - those who conduct professional development and plan to train at least 10 others, and
  2. for Participants - those who want to learn about the tools and apply them to their course content.

INTEL is re-formatting the MT training into a modular based training program, so this is not currently available, however, the Participant training is varied in availability and the length is flexible based on the tools included (24-40 hours, face-to-face).  The Participant opportunities are conducted at a district level, and provide a variety of opportunities across the state.

To inquire about Participant courses

If you are a Master Trainer and need information on setting up Graduate Credit with Baker University, here are the forms: Participant Courses are available for teachers interested in learning about these tools, and applying them to their content area(s), but would rather not commit to training others.
