The Kansas Parent Education Program is dedicated to providing high quality service delivery that meets national and state standards and is a nationally recognized evidence-based program. Research shows that parent education can be an important component in supporting and developing healthy relationships between children and their parents, setting the stage for strong families and children ready for success.
KPEP is a valued partner with other home visiting and early childhood programs working together to promote access to high quality services for children and families in their communities.
The program is available to any parent, relatives as caregivers, and foster and adoptive parents, who has a child under the age of three and lives within a participating school district.
If you have any trouble, feel free to contact KSDE Kansas Parent Education Program staff for assistance.

To provide you with ongoing access to training for data entry in the Foundations for School Success web application, KSDE has created an online SANDBOX training website with lessons about how to use Foundations for School Success. At this time, this software only works on a PC that has the most recent version of Java enabled and it will not work on Macs or IPads unless the Mac operates Windows and has the most recent version of Java enabled. If you have difficulty accessing the training on the website, first check with your district IT to determine if the correct software is loaded and enabled on your computer. If you or your IT staff have questions about software or need help with the training portal, please call the KSDE IT HelpDesk at 785-296-7935, M-F 8AM-5PM.
Use the FSS Training Portal Instructions document to learn how to use the SANDBOX training. The FSS TRAINING SANDBOX is accessed on the KSDE website http://training.ksde.org/Vimago/foundations/trainingportal/web/index.htm
